Madurai Passport Office
Passport Office started functioning in Madurai from 17th December 2007. Nine districtsnamely Madurai, Theni, Sivagangai, Virudhunagar, Ramanathapuram, Thoothukudi, Tirunelveli, Kanyakumari & Dindugul comes under Madurai Passport office jurisdiction. Passports in respect of applications submitted before 17th December 2007 will be dispatched by Passport Office, Tiruchirappalli and all enquiries relating to it, are to be made only there.
Open Timings:
9.30am to 12:00 Noon: For submission of application forms, on-line registration, inquiry, meeting with Passport Officer Superintendents etc.
While meeting Passport Officer OR Superintendents, please bring relevant documents, in case of Tatkaal Scheme and stay proof, birth certificate, 10th / 12th certificate etc.
Experience:
Like other govt offices, corruption is the probe here too. A high populated like India queue was unavoidable, but the great citizens can't wait there so long. But our officials solve the probe with Pay to move scheme.Its easy if you pay the money you can go first,The hardest thing is we are paying. Our royal citizens offering some hundreds to move forward in the queue (my friend gave just 500..) .Its just a sample, but when we gonna change..
